Mark Stewart is the Chief Financial Officer at Atrio Health Plans. Mark is a seasoned and visionary health plan CFO with unwavering commitment to financial excellence and strategic foresight that drives transformative success in today's ever-evolving healthcare landscape. For over 20 years, Mark has demonstrated expertise in navigating complex financial challenges, optimizing operational efficiencies, and leading organizations to sustainable growth.

Prior to joining Atrio in 2023, Mark served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island, where he had oversight of financial operations, actuarial services, data and analytics, information technology, value-based care, network performance, and pharmacy operations. There, he led a remarkable financial turnaround with six consecutive years of positive earnings, increasing risk-based capital by over 200 points and surplus by over 40%.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree from Pace University and a master’s in business administration from Fairfield University. He currently lives in New England, dividing his time between Simsbury, Connecticut, and Narragansett, Rhode Island with his wife Kate, and his three daughters. In his off time, Mark enjoys surfing, wood-working, and spending time with his family and friends.
